Our Trophy Cougar Hunt capitalizes on the healthy cougar population in the Christian Valley, where fresh tracks are numerous, though we selectively target mature, trophy-class male mountain lions. The hunt begins with our dedicated guides scouring cat country in the early morning hours, using trucks, ATVs, or snowmobiles to locate the desired track. Once a promising track is identified, our hounds are released to lead the chase, their instincts guiding them to tree the cougar. Hunters are then brought to the closest access point by snowmobile or ATV and escorted on foot to the treed cat, with approaches ranging from 100 yards to a couple of miles. While hunters may choose to ride along during the track-finding phase, some opt to stay warm at our lodge when snow is deep, letting our team pinpoint the perfect track. With a minimum of one houndsman/guide and one track finder per hunter, we ensure a personalized, high-success hunt that balances adventure with comfort in the heart of cougar country.
