Meet the Outfitter
Brant Chutter was born & raised on a cattle ranch in British Columbia, hunting and working with horses and hounds have been pillars of my life from a very young age. After having guided hunters in BC, AB, NWT, and Mexico over the past 12+ years in the guide/outfitting industry, my goal is to combine the best parts of what I have learned & seen in the industry, and bring that to my outfit and more importantly, to my clients experience.
Rival Guides
RO guides bring a passion for hunting and a desire for success that creates a culture of going above and beyond for our clients. Our circle of guides are experienced and dedicated to the craft of hunting. No matter the many uncontrollable factors involved in hunting, our guides bring a positive attitude and persistent, experience-based work ethic. For Rival Guides, this job is not their hobby, hunting is their life and livelihood.
Our Hunting Area
In the heart of southern British Columbia, our 3000 sq km outfitting territory along the Kettle River and encompassing the entire Christian Valley is a stunning expanse of rugged wilderness in the Boundary Country, nestled in the southern Okanagan region, with our southern edge being the U.S./Washington border. This landscape features rolling plateaus, open Ponderosa pine forests, and lush winter-range river valleys carved by the Kettle River, with the Monashee Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop with ample access throughout the area by truck, ATV, Snowmachine, or good old fashion hiking.
The climate typically consists of hot summers with mild winters in the southern portion of the area, however winters in the northern portion are long with consistent snow with cooler temperatures. This wide range of climate and habitat provides a diverse range of wildlife and offers breathtaking vistas, making it a hunter’s paradise.
