General Information / FAQ
-
Clients have the option of driving their own vehicle to our camp, or flying in via Kelowna BC airport or Spokane WA airport.
If driving is the best option for you, navigate to the community of Westbridge, British Columbia; from there, proceed north on the Christian Valley Road to camp. Exact instructions will be provided upon booking.
If flying in through either international airport is your best option, clients must rent a car and drive the +/-3 hours to camp from Kelowna Airport; or +/-5 hours from Spokane International airport to camp.
For hunters who desire to bring large quantities of meat home via air travel, we recommend travel via Spokane Airport. Past clients have found that avoiding international flights has made for better meat care with more available options to keep meat frozen during travel if driving across the border and flying domestic within the U.S..
Pick-Up & Drop-Off can be arranged at a fee from Kelowna.
All transportation in the hunting area is provided and included in your hunt for its duration.

At Rival Outfitting, we understand how important proper hide and antler care of a hunters trophy is to preserving the memories made for years to come.
Rival Outfitting partners with a local exporter to provide hassle-free export for our clients. Hunters can simply leave their trophies with us and our partner exporter will handle all permitting and exporting to the desired taxidermist or address of your choice.
COMPULSORY INSPECTION is required for all Shiras Moose, Cougar, Lynx, and Bobcat.
A CITES PERMIT is required for Cougar, Lynx, Bobcat, Wolf, and Black Bear(If the bear does not accompany the hunter across the border).
For animals that do not require extra permitting for export, hunters have the option of taking their trophies home with them at the conclusion of the hunt. Hunters are responsible for providing packing material and totes/duffles. Please check with airlines and border agents for current legal guidelines for crossing with wildlife.

Firearms brought into Canada from the USA should be registered using a US 4457 form, in advance at any US airport with a US Customs & Border Protection office and stamped for approval for verification for the serial number. A Canadian Non-Resident Gun Registration form( https://rcmp.ca/sites/default/files/doc/5589e.pdf ) should also be completed, BUT NOT SIGNED as border agents must witness your signature upon your arrival in Canada.
